How You Will Make an Impact

• Provide technical assistance on Safety to the leadership team including supervisory personnel
• Lead employee engagement initiatives to build a strong safety culture
• Conduct periodic safety audits, inspections, and behavior-based safety observations
• Investigate incidents to determine root causes and appropriate corrective actions.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and revise health and safety policies and procedures
• Act in an advisory capacity to management and supervisors on matters of injury and illness prevention, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulations/requirements
• Plan, develop and deliver effective health and safety training
• Prepare required injury/illness reports for federal, state, and local agencies
• Analyze injury/illness trends to determine areas of needed improvement
• Perform basic/routine duties in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the Safety standards along with federal, state and local regulatory requirements
• Support the integration of health and wellness programs
• Other projects/responsibilities as assigned by manager

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the environmental health, and safety field
• Professional Certification (CSP, CIH, ASP, GSP, etc.) from a nationally recognized organization preferred
• At least one (1) year of Safety experience in a manufacturing environment, Environmental health experience is a plus
• Fundamental understanding of OSHA General Industry standards
• Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) preferred
• Effective, tactful, and positive communication with all levels of plant and management personnel.
• Self-starter, works independently, takes initiative.
• Flexibility: performing wide range of tasks, accepting new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking ability with strong attention to detail
• High proficiency in MS Office and other computer software programs
